Breathe Free Eva

I'm so sad to have learned that a beautiful young, amazing woman named Eva Markvoort went to Heaven today.

She courageously battled cystic fibrosis her entire life until she received a life saving double-lung transplant. Unfortunately, bronchiolitis obliterans took her life today.

I'm just so so sad. I've enjoyed reading her live journal entries for years. She lived life so amazingly and brought such an awareness of Cystic Fibrosis in Canada.

Breathe free now Eva. Breathe free. You will be missed and never forgotten.

I went to Eva's blog...wow what a brave women she must have been. Lamont has a cousin with CF and she was not supposed to live out of childhood. She is now in her mid thirties with two beautiful children. I have never met anyone who loves life more and takes each day as anew gift. She tells us she is going to live into her seventies!!!! I think thats what keeps her going.

It is so sad that this young woman had to die so young. They are making such headway with a lot of diseases. When I was younger, a person with CF would not survive beyond age 12. Every year new developments assist individuals to live longer, but never long enough...
